There is some question into whether or not all games online will work with IPV6. The Query systems/Servers that send out the signals to show who's hosting the games all of those will need to be upgraded. Some people like me are wondering if companies like Valve or Epic will continue to support older game engines like HLDS which is the Half Life dedicated engine and Epics Ut2004 engine.
Could this be the end of ailing games and mods if they are not updated to use IPV6 or is it nothing? I know for a fact IPV6 isn't just a software upgrade it's a hardware upgrade... Even if your home computer is IPV6 ready you would have to consider the amount of dedicated servers these companies own and operate and how much cost it would be to them to upgrade their older servers with newer network cares and routers!
Our dedicated server is without a doubt IPV6 ready which was one of the factors I looked into when I first built it!
Anyways please feel free to reply with anything in regards or just ask away... Remember Google is you friend!
